"Mama Lupe" Archuleta Bartholomew

I just wanted to tell you how excited I am to be part of this great team at Archuleta Vocal Academy. The children have been a joy to work with! Some of them have been very shy at the beginning of the season, but then ended up at the recital with more confidence and more faith in themselves. When I asked them why were they afraid to sing in front of people they told me that they were afraid of people looking at them, that they might forget the lyrics or fall off stage just to name a few. That’s why I love to do what I do!

Once upon a time I was on their shoes. My confidence only grew when I faced my fears, even though I wanted to sing really bad, I was afraid and shy to sing in front of people. But the more I did it, the more confident I became. I took voice lessons with a well respected voice teacher in Hollywood, CA. And a great voice teacher here in Utah.

In this world where kids just sit in front of the computer, phones, or get bored so easy, I encourage you to get them out of the house and come to our classes to have fun, make friends and perform for family and friends.

Hope I get to meet you soon!

Growing up there was Music playing in my household all the time and I sang in the choir with my mom and sisters at our church, were at a very Young age received a calling as a chorister for the primary Children , When that  happened, it changed my life. Since then Music has always been a part of my life, and is now one of my passions. I Love how Music Can connect us with ourselves and others around us. I absolutely LOVE the influence that it has on me and others both emotionally and intellectually.
Not only do I need music in my life, but I want to be in music. I firmly believe in the  values of hard work and of helping others, So teaching at the Archuleta Vocal School gives me the opportunity to do all of that! No matter what I’m going through, I can always rely on music to remind me of the true beauty in life. Music has always been able to comfort and calm me in times of trouble. I want to be able to teach Children and use Music to help them have confidence on themselves , guide them , relax them , entertain them, uplift them , evoke emotion, give them peace, give them hope , bring a smile, and perhaps even lift a burden.
Music is powerful it Brings me so much Joy, is part of Who I am! That’s why I’m teaching at the Archuleta Vocal school because not only do I Love Children But I want to Help all  to experience all of that for themselves!

I am super excited to be teaching the Little Archie’s for the second year after last year was such a success. I have always had a love for singing, dancing, and the performing. I took drama and choir classes all through middle school and high school, as well as summer classes at Hale Centre Theater. I come from a long line of dancers. My mom was the youngest California state champion for ballroom dance and my sister was on a professional swing dancing team for six years. I have been in several dance classes throughout my life including jazz, ballet, tap, ballroom, and swing. I have spent most of my life around small children. I started babysitting every weekend when I was 11 years old and I have since become a professional nanny and run my own day care in my home. I stepped away from childcare Now that I have my own little girls, but I love this opportunity I get to help bring fun and joy into your  wonderful children.

I've been surrounded by people who are into music, which may also be a reason as to why music has a place in my heart.
I started off singing with my Mama and siblings, Then  taking voice lessons and singing in many choirs. I just Love the way music makes me feel! When I sing I try my hardest and pour my heart out. Music has helped me get through my difficult times. It is a way for me to express myself when words fall short.
Music will always be something that will stay in my heart and I will always continue to grow passion for it. Teaching children at the Archuleta Vocal School is extremely gratifying for me, especially when I see the positive change & growth that these children obtain afterwards! Working with them and seeing all the  great results we constantly get it is all so rewarding to me! I am extremely Thankful for the opportunity I’ve been giving to “Change lives one at a Time!
